Old Quindaro Cemetery

The Old Quindaro Cemetery was established about 1855. It sits on high ground, on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, west of the old town site. Individuals buried there include freed slaves and Native Americans. The total number of burials is unknown, because many do not have headstones.
